Spring Break
This last week has been Spring Break. Being a third grade teacher really makes me appreciate these breaks. I never understood how badly teachers needed this break. As much as I love teaching, I need this time away from my students. My sister Lindsay and my niece Kaitlyn have been in town so it has been fun to spend time with them. I love when Lindsay comes because we always go eat at my favorite places: Cafe Rio, Brick Oven, Pizza Factory, and Hickory Kist.
While she was here, we went up to the Discovery Gateway. It was fun for the little kids. It was really crowded and it was hard to keep up with all of them. At one point, I was watching Kaitlyn and Emrie and all of the sudden, Kaitlyn was gone. I couldn't believe it! I thought I was paying attention, but with all the people, I lost her. Luckily, a lady saw me and asked if I was looking for a little girl in a white shirt. She directed me to the playhouse Kaitlyn had ran into. I was very relieved I didn't lose her. I decided Discovery Gateway was a fun place to go, but I don't want to go back until I have my own kids. Kids were running everywhere and all I wanted to do was make them sit down like I do with my third grade students!!!
